Privacy policy
This policy explains what personal data Mosley Content collects through this website, why, and what your rights are. It is written to be read, so I have kept it short and plain.
Who is responsible for your data
The data controller is Mark Mosley, trading as Mosley Content.
- Email: hello@mosleycontent.org
- Postal address: 21 Stratton Road, Bolsover, Chesterfield S44 6DR
What I collect and why
The quote form
When you ask for a quote, you give me your name, work email, company, the service you need, the scope, your deadline, links to source material and a free-text message. I use this only to reply to you, prepare a quote and, if you go ahead, set up the project.
My lawful basis is legitimate interests (answering the enquiry you chose to send) and taking steps at your request before entering a contract.
The form is handled by the website itself, which runs on Cloudflare. Your answers are sent to my inbox as an email and are not stored on the website.
The form also contains a hidden field that real visitors never see or fill in. It exists to catch automated spam. If it is filled in, the submission is treated as spam.
If you email me directly, I keep your message and my reply so I can deal with your enquiry. Email for this domain is hosted with a third-party email provider, who handles messages on my behalf.
Booking a discovery call
The site offers a discovery call booked through Cal.com. The booking tool does not load when you open the page. It loads only when you click the button to book. Once it has loaded, Cal.com processes the details you give it under its own privacy policy (https://cal.com/privacy) and may set its own cookies. If you would rather not use it, you can ask for a call by email or through the quote form instead.
Website analytics
I use Plausible Analytics, which is hosted in the EU. It is cookieless and does not collect personal data. It records aggregate figures, such as how many people visited a page, and nothing that identifies you.
Hosting and server logs
The site is hosted on Cloudflare. Like most hosts, Cloudflare may keep technical logs (for example IP addresses and request details) for security and to keep the site running. My lawful basis is legitimate interests in keeping the site secure and available.
Cookies
This site sets no cookies of its own, so there is no cookie banner. The only exception is the Cal.com booking tool described above, which may set its own cookies after you choose to load it.
Who I share data with
I do not sell your data. I use these services to run the site and the business:
- Cloudflare, which hosts the website and delivers quote form submissions to my inbox. Their privacy policy is at https://www.cloudflare.com/privacypolicy/.
- A third-party email provider, which hosts the mailbox.
- Cal.com, only if you choose to book a call.
Cloudflare acts as a processor on my behalf and may process data outside the UK. Where that happens, the transfer relies on appropriate safeguards under UK data protection law. Please read their privacy policy for details.
How long I keep your data
Enquiries are kept for up to 2 years and then deleted, unless you become a client. Client records are kept for as long as needed to deliver the work and meet my legal and accounting obligations.
Your rights
Under the UK GDPR you have the right to:
- be told what data I hold about you and ask for a copy
- ask me to correct data that is wrong
- ask me to delete your data
- ask me to restrict how I use your data
- object to my use of your data where I rely on legitimate interests
- ask for your data in a portable format, where this applies
To use any of these rights, email hello@mosleycontent.org. I will respond as soon as I reasonably can.
Making a complaint
If you are unhappy with how I have handled your data, please tell me first so I can try to put it right. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk.
Changes to this policy
If I change what I do with your data, I will update this page and the date at the top.
